Led by goal-scorers Megan Rapinoe and Rose Lavelle, the USWNT successfully defended its World Cup title. The U.S. women beat the Netherlands 2-0 in Sunday’s final to win their fourth FIFA Women's World Cup title and, for the first time, second in a row.

Following their victory, Rapinoe was awarded the Golden Boot and Golden Ball for her outstanding performances during the tournament. Alex Morgan was the second-leading goal-scorer of the tournament and was awarded the Silver Boot, and Lavelle received the Bronze Ball. 

Soccer fans around the world celebrated the USWNT's World Cup victory on social media, including some special shoutouts from Ellen DeGeneres, Jordan Burroughs and many more.
