July 03, 2019, 11:32 a.m. (ET)

On Tuesday, the U.S. women’s soccer team defeated No. 3-ranked England, 2-1, in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup semifinals in Lyon, France. The victory advanced Team USA to its record third consecutive World Cup Final, which will be played Sunday.

Christen Press, who started for an injured Megan Rapinoe, kicked off the scoring with an early header in the 10th minute, followed up by Alex Morgan’s game-winning strike on her 30th birthday to lead the race for the tournament’s Golden Boot. Alyssa Naeher, however, stole the headlines with a beautiful penalty save to keep the U.S. ahead.

Here are some of the reactions on social media from celebrities, fellow Team USA athletes and more on the USWNT’s clutch semifinal victory.
