Top-seeded U.S. boxers from across the country came together to compete at the 2020 U.S. Olympic Team Trials for Boxing over the past week in Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Virginia Fuchs, a bronze medalist from the 2018 world championships, headlined the women this weekend following victory by unanimous decision against Christina Cruz, marking her as the best in country for the 51 kg. weight class.

Abraham Perez led the U.S. men after a unanimous win against No. 4-seeded Anthony Herrera in the men’s 52 kg.

A total of 10 boxers won belts Sunday and three more on Monday. Regardless, the top-two at each class will be invited to the next stage of qualifying for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: a training camp in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and the Strandja Tournament in Sofia, Bulgaria, on Jan. 17.
