The U.S. women's soccer team finished its run at the Concacaf Women's Championship with a 2-0 win over Canada in the final, which completed a 26-0 scoring run during the tournament. Also at the tournament, Team USA clinched a spot in the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup and solidified an eighth championship in tournament history.
The women have not conceded a goal since Aug. 2, when they defeated Brazil 4-1 in the Tournament of Nations final. They haven't lost a game since July 27, 2017, when they fell to Australia in last year's Tournament of Nations final.
Team USA walked away from the tournament with two individual honors as well. Alex Morgan was awarded the Golden Boot for leading the tournament in scoring, and Julie Ertz was deemed MVP of the tournament and received the Golden Ball.
