Olympic contender Nyjah Huston is among the U.S. skateboarders competing in this weekend’s X Games competition in Sydney, Australia.
Huston won his eighth gold medal in men’s skateboard street in the Minneapolis X Games in July.
The Sydney X Games feature the women’s skateboarding street finals on Friday and the men’s street finals on Sunday. Skateboarding street and park will make its Olympic debut in the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020.
Other events in Sydney include skateboarding big air, BMX street, BMX big air, BMX dirt and Moto X freestyle.
Among the U.S. skateboarders expected to join Huston in the men’s street competition are Jagger Eaton, Dashawn Jordan, Alex Midler, Alec Majerus, Zion Wright and Chris Joslin.
Skateboarders in women’s street include Mariah Duran and Alexis Sablone of the U.S.
