
On Sunday evening, the U.S. women's soccer team earned its spot in the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup with a massive 6-0 win over Jamaica in the semifinal match of the 2018 Concacaf Women's Championship in Frisco, Texas.
This will be Team USA's eighth consecutive World Cup appearance. The U.S. has won three previous world titles, in 1991, 1999 and 2015. The team will have the opportunity to win back-to-back titles for the first time in Paris next year.
