Angelica Delgado, a 2016 Olympian who is ranked 13th in the world, is among six U.S. athletes competing in this week’s IJF Tbilisi Grand Prix tournament in Georgia.

Delgado, who competes in the women’s 52 kg. weight class, is a third seed. She finished seventh in the Paris Grand Slam in February.

Joining her in the women’s tournament are Katelyn Bouyssou in the 48 kg. class and Leilani Akiyama in the 57 kg. class.

L.A. Smith III, who already has three podium finishes this year, is among the three U.S. men competing in Tbilisi. Smith, who competes in the 100 kg. weight class, had first-place finishes in the Lima Pan American Open and Santiago Pan American Open, and a runner-up finish in last week’s Buenos Aires Pan American Open

Also competing in Tbilisi are Jack Hatton in the 81 kg. class and 2016 Olympian Colton Brown in the 90 kg. class.
