The final push for U.S. Olympic Team berths in aerials takes place at the world cup Friday and Saturday in Lake Placid, New York.

Kiley McKinnon is the only aerialist who has secured a nomination for the Olympic team thus far. McKinnon, who got her first career world cup win earlier this month in Moscow, will make her Olympic debut in PyeongChang.

Among those trying to lock down Olympic berths this week are two-time Olympian Ashley Caldwell, 2014 Olympian Mac Bohonnon and reigning world champion Jon Lillis. To meet Olympic selection criteria, a skier must have at least two top-three finishes.

Caldwell, who is ranked ninth in the world cup standings, already has a third-place finish and is halfway to making the tea. Madison Olsen placed fourth in Park City, Utah.

World cup competition in men’s and women’s aerials is both Friday and Saturday in Lake Placid.
