Bound For PyeongChang:
With a win in giant slalom at the world cup in Courchevel, France, and a win in slalom at the world cup in Lienz, Austria, Mikaela Shiffrin qualified for PyeongChang 2018 in both events. With 35 world cup wins, she has surpassed Bode Miller for the second-most all-time world cup titles. Her historic week also included a third-place finish in giant slalom in Austria.

Alpine Skiing:
Bryce Bennett finished sixth in downhill at the world cup in Bormio, Italy.

Cross-Country Skiing:
Sophie Caldwell finished second in freestyle sprint, Sadie Bjornsen took third in the 10-kilometer race and Jessie Diggins earned top-10 finishes in the freestyle sprint and 10K event at the world cup in Lenzerheide, Switzerland.

Freestyle Skiing:
In moguls, Jaelin Kauf clinched first and second place, Troy Murphy finished third and eighth, and Team USA earned eight more top-10 finishes at the world cup in Thaiwoo, China.

Nordic Combined:
Bryan Flecher qualified for his second-straight Olympic Team by claiming the top spot at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Park City, Utah. 

Para Alpine Skiing:
Thomas Walsh and Tyler Walker led Team USA with two silver medals each in giant slalom as the U.S. finished with 14 top-10 finishes at the world cup in Kühtai, Austria.

Ski Jumping:
Sarah Hendrickson and Michael Glasder booked their tickets to PyeongChang 2018 as the overall winners at the U.S. Olympic Trials in Park City, Utah.

Snowboarding:
Four U.S. athletes claimed top-10 finishes and Faye Gulini qualified for PyeongChang 2018 with her 15th-place finish in snowboardcross at the world cup in Cervinia, Italy. 

Also This Week:
Kieffer Bellows netted two goals as the U.S. Men’s National Junior Ice Hockey Team topped Russia, 4-2, to advance to the semifinals of the IIHF World Junior Championship in Buffalo, New York...Seven biathlon athletes were crowned national champions at the U.S. IBU Cup Trials in Coleraine, Minnesota.
