David Wise and Alex Ferreira won gold and silver, respectively, continuing Team USA's domination in the halfpipe. For Wise, he defended his Olympic crown by scoring a monster 97.20 on his final of three runs after crashing on his first two. Ferreira earned his medal in his Olympic debut, laying down three runs scoring in the 90s, earning 96.40 on his final run to nab silver. No matter how different their journeys to the podium were, neither of them were truly alone and celebrated with the people who helped them get there.
