Shaun White dropped the mic in the men's halfpipe final on day five of the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang 2018. In his first run, White topped the leaderboard with a 94.25, setting the bar high for the rest of the competition. After being topped by Japanese rider Ayumu Hirano, he took an uncharacteristic misstep and crashed his landing in the second run. But in typical halfpipe king fashion, leaving it to the very last drop of the day, he pulled out a flawless run and rode away with gold and a score of 97.75.
