This year, Team USA had a lot of memorable moments. From gold medal finishes to new additions to the family, viral videos to lifelong lessons learned, it was a big year for our athletes.

And where else can we go to remember all of these moments, other than social media?

Let’s check out some of the most liked, retweeted and replied to social posts by your favorite Team USA athletes this year.

Wins on wins

Team USA kicked off the year with solid performances at the Winter Olympic Games PyeongChang.

But the star-studded finishes didn’t stop with the Olympics. Kevin Durant was named the MVP of the NBA finals – and posted the most liked social post in 2018 among Team USA athletes.

Too many medals? No such thing. Well… maybe if you need to wear them all. Right, Simone?

When we fall down, we get back up

Team USA athletes aren’t just defined by their ability to finish on top of the podium. They are defined by the way they learn from their mistakes and move forward.

This photo sums up yesterday for me. I failed to land my run in the final and didn't end up on the podium but, for me, the Olympics aren't solely about the medals. Being here now, out and proud and living my life authentically, I'm walking away more fulfilled without a medal than I did at the last Games with one. Of course I would've loved to have landed my run and been on the podium but it just wasn't my day. After years of preparation, countless hours of training and numerous injuries it's all over in a flash. At every contest there are three winners and a field of non-winners. This is the Olympics though and nobody here loses. Everybody gave it their best effort, fought hard, endured and made their country, their family, their friends and their fans proud. I'm holding my head high knowing that I gave it my all. I'm proud of what I did here and all those I was representing in the process and I'm very happy for @oysteinbraten, @nickgaper and @abmskier for walking away with medals. I may have worked tirelessly to get here but so did they and I'm proud of them for putting it down when it counts.

And, regardless of results, these athletes support one another.

More than sports

Team USA also had plenty of memorable moments off the ice, field, court, etc. Between new born babies, graduations and exciting family milestones, it was a big year.

Serena Williams welcomed her daughter, Olympia, to the world in 2017, but we are still not over the cute pictures.

Team USA goes viral

Not to be underestimated is U.S. athletes ability to create hilarious, quality videos. Lolo Jones and Simone Biles showed us their (very impressive) unknown talents, and David Verburg reminded us that no animal is too small…. Or too slow… to deserve your respect.

Above all else, Team USA pursued their dreams this year and the athletes put themselves in a position to continue those dreams in the future. Are you ready for another World Cup run, Alex?
