On Feb. 22, 2018, the U.S. women's ice hockey team won gold at the Olympic Winter Games PyeongChang in epic fashion. The team defeated Canada 3-2 in an overtime thriller to secure its first Olympic gold medal in 20 years. Fans from across the country stayed up through the middle of the night to catch the game and cheer Team USA to victory.
