Noah Lyles, a Youth Olympic champion and strong contender for the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020, is unbeaten this year in the men’s 200-meter in Diamond League competition.

Saturday in Birmingham, England, he’ll go after a podium finish in the 100-meter. He won the 100-meter at the U.S. outdoor championships earlier this year. 

Lyles will be joined by 2016 Olympians Christian Coleman and Michael Rodgers, plus Cameron Burrell in the 100.

The Diamond League stop in Birmingham includes 25 Americans competing in 13 Diamond League events.

Olympic champion Michelle Carter leads the U.S. in the women’s shot put. Sandi Morris, the Diamond League leader and Olympic silver medalist, along with Katie Nageotte will compete in the women’s pole vault.

U.S. champion Shamier Little, who is ranked No. 2 in the world, goes after her third consecutive Diamond League win in the women’s 200-meter.

Two-time Olympic triple jump champion Christian Taylor is among three Americans in the men’s 400. Joining him are Paul Dedewo and Fred Kerley. Olympic bronze medalist Clayton Murphy and Erik Sowinski are in the men’s 800.

Jenna Prandini, who is ranked sixth in the world and has won her last three races, joins Gabrielle Thomas in the women’s 200.
