Nastasya Generalova, a high school senior from Los Angeles, is competing at the world cup this week in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Two days of qualification sessions begin Friday at the Gymnastics Sports Palace in Tashkent. The finals are Sunday.

Generalova, the fourth-place finisher in the 2017 U.S. national championships, is among 25 rhythmic gymnasts from 14 nations in the competition.

Generalova finished fourth in the all-around at the USA Gymnastics Championships last year.
