Tara Lipinski tied the knot on Saturday, marrying fiancé Todd Kapostasy in Charleston, South Carolina.
The 1998 Olympic figure skating gold medalist and FOX Sports producer met at the Sports Emmy Awards in May 2015 and were engaged in December of that same year.
Lipinski posted a photo of the couple along with this caption to her Instagram on Sunday: “I am officially Mrs Kapostasy! Yesterday was by far the best day of my life. There was one moment during the ceremony where I thought, I can not be any happier than I am in this very moment. His vows will forever be etched in my mind. I am so happy and so in love with you @toddkap!"
Lipinski, 35, wore a Reem Acra gown for the outdoor ceremony held at Middleton Place, a National Historic Landmark and home to America’s oldest landscaped gardens, according to its website. Fellow Olympian and friend Johnny Weir was a part of the ceremony as her “bridesman” and among the other photos Lipinksi posted to social media in the lead-up to the ceremony was one of the two of them on the dance floor at her rehearsal dinner.
The couple will honeymoon in the Maldives, Europe and Southeast Asia.
