When golf was reintroduced to the Olympic Games in Rio last August, four athletes competed for Team USA in the men's competition: Rickie Fowler, Patrick Reed, bronze medalist Matt Kuchar and Bubba Watson. On Thursday, they will tee off at Erin Hills in Erin, Wisconsin to pursue the U.S. Open Championship.

Since Rio: Fowler represented Team USA at the 2016 Ryder Cup, scoring two points to help the USA win for the first time since 2008. In February, Fowler earned his fourth PGA Tour win at The Honda Classic, and then fell just outside of the top 10 at the 2017 Masters Tournament.

2016 U.S. Open Result: Missed cut
Since Rio: A few weeks after the Olympics, Reed won The Barclays and went on to finish third in the final standings of the 2016 FedEx Cup Playoffs. At the 2016 Ryder Cup, he contributed heavily to Team USA's win as the highest scorer with three and a half points.
