Each week, TeamUSA.org recaps the performances of U.S. athletes through photos, showing where in the world Team USA athletes competed and how they performed. During the week of July 31-Aug. 6,  April Ross and Lauren Fendrick's silver-medal performance led Team USA at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships; the Los Angeles bid committee reached a deal with the IOC to host the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games; the U.S. women's soccer team competed in the inaugural Tournament of Nations; the women's volleyball team concluded action at the FIVB World Grand Prix; men's golfers took to the greens at the World Golf Championships Bridgestone Invitational and women at the Women's British Open; and U.S. track and field athletes opened the IAAF World Championships with a bang.
