Entering this week’s UCI BMX Supercross World Cup in Rock Hill, South Carolina, Americans are ranked among the top three in both the elite men’s and women’s points standings.

Nic Long, a two-time Olympian, is ranked No. 1 in the men’s rankings, and Corben Sharrah, also a 2016 Olympian, is ranked fifth.

Sharrah began the world cup season back in March by winning the event in Argentina.

Alise Post, the 2016 Olympic silver medalist, is ranked third in the elite women’s standings, and Olympic teammate Brooke Crain is fifth..

The world cup event is Friday and Saturday at the Novant Health BMX Supercross Track in Rock Hill. More than 200 cyclists are expected to compete.
