WASHINGTON – The mind of an Olympian is a fascinating thing. The drive to succeed at all costs. The relentless dedication to their craft. The will to get back up time after time and never give up. The immeasurable sacrifices made for one very specific goal. The hunger for perfection and…breakfast. Yes, breakfast.

TeamUSA.org recently learned that “breakfast” is on the minds of the “Final Five” women’s gymnastics team that won Olympic gold in Rio – and at any time of the day. Minutes after Simone Biles, Gabby Douglas, Laurie Hernandez, Madison Kocian and Aly Raisman won Team of the Olympic Games, presented by Dow, at the Team USA Awards, Best of the Games ceremony, we spoke to four of the women about how they would spend one day as president of the United States and hilarity ensued as they worked toward a consensus that involved a lot of breakfast.

If you were president for a day, what is the first thing you would do?

Laurie Hernandez: Order breakfast.

Simone Biles: What?! Order breakfast??

Aly Raisman: No! You would solve world poverty or war. Make everyone love each other.

Madison Kocian: And hunger.

Hernandez: Yeah, that stuff too!

Raisman: Then you order breakfast so you have energy for the rest of the day.

Kocian: Just keep eating breakfast throughout the day.

Raisman: I think we’re really hungry.
