Each week, TeamUSA.org recaps the performances of U.S. athletes through photos, showing where in the world Team USA athletes competed and how they performed. During the week of Sept. 5-11, Team USA arrived in Rio and began competition at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. Cyclists, swimmers, runners and more all had impressive opening-week performances and contributed to Team USA's first 39 medals.
