U.S. Men's Gymnastics Lineup For Qualification Round Is Set For 2016 Olympic Games

RIO DE JANEIRO -- The line-up for the U.S. men for the qualification round at the 2016 Olympic Games has been submitted.  The men compete in the second of three subdivisions on Saturday, Aug. 6, at 2:30 p.m., held at the Rio Olympic Arena.  The teams and individual gymnasts who will advance to the final rounds will be determined at the conclusion of the final subdivision.

The members of the U.S. men’s team are:  Chris Brooks of Houston, Texas/Team Hilton (U.S. Olympic Training Center); Jacob Dalton of Sparks, Nev./Team Hilton (University of Oklahoma); Danell Leyva of Miami/Team Hilton (Universal Gymnastics); Sam Mikulak of Newport Coast, Calif./Team Hilton (U.S. Olympic Training Center); and Alex Naddour of Queen Creek, Ariz./Team Hilton (USA Youth Fitness).

The U.S. men's line-up is as follows.

Floor exercise: Naddour, Brooks, Mikulak, Dalton  
Pommel horse:
 Leyva, Brooks, Mikulak, Naddour
Still rings: Brooks, Mikulak, Dalton, Naddour
Vault:  Brooks, Naddour, Mikulak, Dalton
Parallel bars: Mikulak, Dalton, Brooks, Leyva
Horizontal bar: Dalton, Mikulak, Brooks, Leyva

The U.S. women will compete in the qualification round on Sunday, Aug. 9, and the women’s line-up will be announced prior to competition.
