The Best Photos From Team USA's 100 Days Out Celebration

April 28, 2016, 6:27 p.m. (ET)

To celebrate the 100-day countdown to the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Team USA took over midtown Manhattan Wednesday as part of the Road To Rio Tour presented by Liberty Mutual Insurance.

Team USA athletes visited NBC's "TODAY" Show, where they unveiled the Closing Ceremony attire, announced the Olympic women's basketball team, showed the "TODAY" anchors a thing or two about their sports and partied with The Band Perry. They then lit up The Empire State Building and brought the Olympic and Paralympic spirit to Times Square. Once there, the 85 Olympic and Paralympic athletes in attendance demonstrated their sports to fans, tried virtual reality, showed off a new racing wheelchair, raced each other down a zip line, jumped into a long jump foam pit and so much more.

First Lady Michelle Obama even made an appearance. She tried her hand at fencing and basketball, and spoke to athletes about a nationwide commitment to get 2 million kids active this year as part of her Let's Move! initiative.

The whirlwind event ended with a free concert by The Band Perry, who sing Team USA's official song for the 2016 Games, "Live Forever." Overall, it was a magical day for Team USA. Relive some of the best moments from the 100 days out celebration below.
