COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The United States Olympic Committee today announced that Deloitte has renewed its sponsorship and will continue as the official professional services sponsor of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams through the Rio 2016, PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
“Since 2009, Deloitte has served as a trusted advisor to the USOC – helping us to set long-term strategy and aiding us in our mission of effectively serving Team USA athletes,” said Lisa Baird, USOC chief marketing officer. “We are proud to call Deloitte a member of the USOC family of sponsors, and we are thrilled that Deloitte’s commitment to Team USA will continue through 2020.”
As a proud sponsor, Deloitte leverages its professional services across advisory, tax and consulting to further the USOC's mission of promoting sport and fielding the strongest Team USA during the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Additionally, Deloitte further invests directly with Team USA athletes to help them pursue their goals of competing on the global stage. The journey of these athletes inspires and resonates with Deloitte professionals and campus recruits as an example of the organization’s commitment to excellence. The next four years offer great opportunities in sharing personal stories of high performance, ambition and passion, to advance the Olympic and Paralympic movements in the United States.
“Teamwork, leadership and a commitment to excellence are traits exemplified by both Team USA athletes and Deloitte personnel,” said Diana O'Brien, chief marketing officer, Deloitte LLP. “Our ongoing sponsorship helps athletes in the Olympic and Paralympic Games successfully compete on the global stage. It’s why we are passionate about our continued support of the U.S. Olympic Committee.”
Other member firms of the Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited network have also committed to the international Olympic Movement. Deloitte Canada is a National Partner to the Canadian Olympic Committee and Deloitte UK is the Official Professional Services Partner to the British Olympic Association and British Paralympic Association.
