We Ask Gracie Gold, ‘What’s In Your Gym Bag?’

By Lisa Costantini | Dec. 22, 2014, 3:45 p.m. (ET)

Team USA figure skater Gracie Gold has had a stellar season, which included her first grand prix gold medal at NHK Trophy in Japan last month. We caught up with the Olympic bronze medalist — who had to withdraw from the Grand Prix Final due to a stress fracture in her left foot — and asked her to dump out the contents of her Nike gym bag. Here are a couple things she can’t leave home without.

Workout Wear

Ice skates: Of course. With elephant blade covers.

Accessories

Music: iPod and ear buds.

Miscellaneous

Tissue box cover: “I have a Ruma tissue box cover [in the shape of a bear] that a Japanese fan gave me. It was one of the first fan gifts I received. It sits on the boards, saving the rink from runny noses every day.”

iPhone: How else can her buddy Taylor Swift get a hold of her?

Makeup: “Every girl needs her makeup essentials: mascara, eos lip balm and red lipstick.”

Bananagrams: “I always keep Bananagrams [a word game similar to Scrabble] or a fun card game in my bag. It helps keep car rides and airports interesting and entertaining!”

Magazine: “During the breaks between sessions I have time to catch up on celebrity gossip with magazines like People and US Weekly.”

Band-Aids: “I always carry cute mustache Band-Aids.”

Yamuna ball: “For sore and tired feet.”
