For Immediate Release February 13, 2007 U.S. Olympic Committee Launches Athlete Speaker's Referral Network Colorado Springs, Colo.-The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) has launched its first-ever Athlete Speaker's Referral Network. The Network will allow companies and individuals seeking U.S. Olympians, Paralympians and others associated with the Olympic Movement access to a database of more than 200 individuals for speaking engagements and appearances. The USOC created the Athlete Speaker's Referral Network as a service to America's finest athletes, either currently training or retired from sport, who have an interest in public speaking. Already registered as participants are some of the country's most recognized Olympians and Paralympians, including Vonetta Flowers (Bobsled), April Holmes (Paralympic Track and Field), Bruce Jenner (Track and Field), Nancy Kerrigan (Figure Skating), Shannon Miller (Gymnastics), Oscar Robertson (Basketball) and Mark Spitz (Swimming). The Athlete Speaker's Referral Network can be accessed by visiting the USOC's official website, 220.127.116.11. Interested parties can click on the link to the Network that exists on the USOC homepage.
