Andie Doyle, Julie and Gary Killian, Robin and Court Lorenzini, Mari Nakachi and Dan Simkowitz, and Lori and Martin Weinstein replace 21 outgoing members

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The United States Olympic & Paralympic Foundation board of directors approved nine new directors in November who will join the board effective Jan. 1, 2021. Twenty-one outgoing members, who served as the founding class of USOPF directors, will finish their terms on Dec. 31, 2020. The reduction was by design to facilitate a gradual migration to 36 members, as prescribed by the USOPF’s bylaws. The incoming members will serve their first terms through Dec. 31, 2024, at which time they will be eligible to serve a second term.

"I am grateful and excited to welcome nine new directors from all over the country to our foundation board,” said USOPF President Christine Walshe. “We look forward to each member bringing their diverse perspectives to the table in order to advance the philanthropic priorities of the foundation in a lasting and meaningful way.”

The new directors, who hail from three different states and Washington D.C., were recommended to the board by its Nominating and Governance Committee. Sarah Hirshland, U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee CEO, and USOPC Board Chair Susanne Lyons are ex officio members of the board.

“I look forward to working with each new member over the next four years,” said Gordy Crawford, chairman of the USOPF board. “Our outgoing members have dedicated their time, resources and expertise to the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic family, and I am confident they will continue to advocate for Team USA athletes and promote the positive attributes of sport within their communities.”
