WASHINGTON, D.C. – The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee, in conjunction with the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Foundation, will host the Team USA Service & Hope Impact Day on Tuesday, May 3 in Washington, D.C. Funded fully by donors who gave lead gifts to the Team USA Service & Hope Award, athletes will pack 1,800 “Play at Home” kits, complete with athletic gear and inspiring notes from Olympic and Paralympic heroes, which will then be distributed to youth across the D.C. area to help kids get off the sidelines and onto the playing field. This initiative is in collaboration with Leveling the Playing Field, a nonprofit that redistributes equipment to expand access to youth sports and recreation programs in under-resourced communities.
