MEDIA ADVISORY: Making Team USA Teleconference Series Continues with Nominated 2010 U.S. Olympic Team for Women’s Curling, November 9 at 6 p.m. Eastern The United States Olympic Committee (USOC) and USA Curling will host a teleconference with the nominated 2010 U.S. Olympic Team for Women’s Curling on Monday, November 9 at 6 p.m. EASTERN (4 p.m. MOUNTAIN).

The U.S. men’s and women’s curling teams were the first U.S. athletes to qualify for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games since USA Curling held their 2010 U.S. Olympic Team Trials this past February.

This edition of the Making Team USA Teleconference Series will feature team skip Debbie McCormick (Rio, Wis.), Allison Pottinger (Eden Prairie, Minn.), Nicole Joraanstad (Madison, Wis.) and Natalie Nicholson (Bemidji, Minn.), with Tracy Sachtjen (Lodi, Wis.) as the alternate. The McCormick led squad is fresh off a tournament victory this weekend (Nov. 6-8) at the OVCA Fall Classic, in Kemptville, Ontario, as they picked up their first World Curling Tour victory this season. The team recently finished second at the Grasshopper Women's Masters in Zurich. After stumbling to a 0-2 start, the U.S. squad won five straight to advance to the championship final. They lost to Germany's Olympic team, 7-6, in an extra end. This completed a successful European trip for the women's team after a semifinal finish the week prior at an event in Switzerland.
