Freestyle Skiing – Men’s Skier-Cross

This is a new Olympic event.

Alpine  Skiing – Men’s Super Combined

Technically this is a new event, as previously, alpine skiers competed in a combined competition which consisted of one full downhill run and two slalom runs. The super combined consists of either a shorter downhill, or a super-G, and one slalom run. In Vancouver, they use a shorter downhill.

No one has ever won the combined twice at the Olympics, but Ted Ligety will have a shot to become the first to repeat.
