Team USA scored big this weekend, earning an impressive eight gold medals in World Cup events, including bobsled, figure skating, skiing and long track speedskating. Also, biathlete Tim Burke made history by finishing second in the 20km and third in the 10km sprint at the Ostersund World Cup. This is the first time that a U.S. biathlete has won two World Cup medals in the same weekend and the first time since 1992 that the U.S. has earned a silver medal at a biathlon World Cup. Burke's podium finishes have greatly energized the U.S squad, which is looking to become the first U.S. team to win an Olympic medal in the sport of biathlon.
