The media accreditation process is now open for the 2016 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway, where more than 60 U.S. athletes are expected to compete from February 12-21. Accreditation is being processed by the International Olympic Committee with a submission deadline of Nov. 1, 2015. The application can be found here.

Late requests will not be considered for allocation. Questions regarding the application procedure should be referred to the IOC Media Relations team at pressoffice@olympic.org.

Media representatives who have successfully applied for accreditation online before Nov.1 will receive an email confirmation with an access code for the media accommodation booking portal. Accreditation will be available for pickup upon arrival at the Main Accreditation Center in Lillehammer. Accreditations will not be mailed prior to the Games, and as such, will not serve as a visa. Accreditation will be distributed only upon presentation of a valid passport or ID and proof of media affiliation.

Additional information regarding accommodation, transportation, the Main Media Center, and venue access is available at Lillehammer2016.com/media.
