Team USA will be a force to be reckoned with in the pool in Lima, Peru, as 35 athletes, including eight Paralympians, will strive to race to the top of the podium. The swim team, which took home 32 medals from the Parapan American Games Toronto 2015, will feature returnees Zach Shattuck (Mt. Airy, Maryland), Leslie Cichocki (Palos Hills, Illinois), McClain Hermes (Dacula, Georgia) and Natalie Sims (Edina, Minneapolis).

Eight Paralympians decorate the U.S. roster, including two-time Paralympic silver medalist Tharon Drake (Hobbs, New Mexico), two-time Paralympic bronze medalist Hannah Aspden (Raleigh, North Carolina) and two-time Paralympic medalist Lizzi Smith (Muncie, Indiana). Other Paralympians on the roster include: Cichocki, Tye Dutcher (Merced, California), Alyssa Gialamas (Naperville, Illinois), Hermes and Sims.

Competition in the pool kicks off Aug. 25 and concludes Aug. 31.
