The 2019 U.S. Pan American Team is comprised of 643 athletes who will face the top athletes in the Pan American (North America, South America, Central America and the Caribbean) region across 19 days of competition at the Pan American Games Lima 2019, which begin with preliminary competition July 24, followed by the Opening Ceremony July 26. The Games conclude on Aug. 11.
Team USA is competing in 36 sports, including all summer Olympic sports that are on the program and select sports that are unique to the Pan American Games, including basque pelota, bowling, racquetball, roller sports, squash and water ski/wakeboard. Surfing makes its Pan American Games debut ahead of its 2020 Olympic debut.
