The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee partners with United Healthcare Global to provide athletes and USOPC staff with travel insurance and assistance while competing internationally. SafeTrip coverage is also available to athletes and their families.

Athletes enrolled in the Elite Athlete Health Insurance program automatically receive SafeTrip Global Travel coverage with no purchase necessary. The EAHI program provides comprehensive travel assistance, as well as emergency medical evacuation and repatriation for any location in the world outside of the USA. To request a SafeTrip identification card, contact your EAHI administrator.

SafeTrip for Friends and Family
Athletes who are not enrolled in the Elite Athlete Health Insurance program and would like to purchase travel insurance – or additional coverage for their family – may enroll in the SafeTrip for Friends and family program. Available for a nominal fee, these programs provide the same quality of travel and medical assistance that are offered through the EAHI program. SafeTrip coverage must go through your respective National Governing Body.
