The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee offers sports technology that can assess an athlete’s performance by using data to track peak physical conditions, and by leveraging visual tools that show how athletes can continue to improve within the sport.

The USOPC sports technology team offers cutting-edge technology to provide performance measurement, insights and feedback that help athletes and coaches make informed decisions about training and competition. By discovering and integrating applied technologies into training regimens, the USOPC supports Team USA athletes and coaches to better assess and enhance performance.

Sports technology offers key insights through a variety of platforms, including wearable technology, predictive analytics, video analysis, and comparison and feedback devices that enhance perceptual skills. Additionally, the USOPC offers National Governing Bodies access to short-term equipment loans, including video analysis software, data collection tools, international power solutions and wireless transmission equipment. The USOPC delivers education and training to NGBs on topics like team scouting and software training, while also utilizing corporate sponsorships with companies like Panasonic and Dartfish for technology development.

The USOPC Technology and Innovation Fund was created in 2017 to support performance-impacting projects for the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Tokyo in 2021 and Beijing in 2022. With commitments in place through 2022, the fund helps support long-term integration into NGB performance planning with varied summer, winter and multisport applications.
