Lauren Cholewinski is another successful speedskater with an inline racing background. Although she started inline skating at the age of 9, she didn't start skating on ice until 5 years ago. Since then, Cholewinski has skated on four World Cup teams and in four U.S. Speedskating Championships.
Cholewinski has a variety of interests outside the rink, which include modeling and obtaining a pilot's license. Her brother, James, is also an experienced speedskater, competing in the 2010 World Sprint Championships.
