Community Resource Groups
Through its diversity, equity & inclusion department, the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee developed three community resource groups to provide resources and support to employees of the USOPC, National Governing Bodies and High Performance Management Organizations.
Emerging Leaders in Sport
The vision of Emerging Leaders in Sport is to unite all USOPC and NGB young professionals to achieve excellence and demonstrate leadership in the Olympic and Paralympic movements.
ELiS strives to inspire, empower and connect young professionals within the movements to create an inclusive community of engaged leaders by providing them with resources for professional and personal development. The CRG also works to increase talent retention among all NGBs and the USOPC and continuously connect USOPC and NGB young professionals to increase collaboration and understanding across the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic landscape. Relationships with locally-based organizations are also prioritized within ELiS to further improve community relations and promote networking.
PRIDE Link
In alignment with the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee mission, its guiding principles and the goals of the diversity & inclusion program, the PRIDE Link CRG was established to ensure a culture of excellence through fostering equality, respect and safety for all USOPC, National Governing Bodies and High Performance Management Organization employees, athletes and other constituents, without regard to sexual orientation, gender identity and expression.
The CRG provides guidance and operates as a resource on LGBTQ issues both inside and outside the organization. It also serves as a method to share LGBTQ resources and educate the USOPC, NGBs, HPMOS and athletes about inclusion and communication within that space.
Membership for the PRIDE Link CRG is open to employees of the USOPC, NGBs and HPMOs, as well as actively competing athletes.
Women’s NET
“Networking, experiences and training for women excelling at work and life”
The Olympic and Paralympic family works to foster a place where talented professional women choose to grow their careers and make significant and lasting contributions to Team USA. Therefore, the USOPC created Women’s NET in 2015 to foster a culture that values and empowers working women to achieve their personal best at work and in life.
Women’s NET is an internal USOPC group that provides opportunities to network, share knowledge and experiences, build skills, serve the community, and advance the careers of women within the organization. Members of the CRG meet at the Women’s NET Annual Summit, at monthly group discussions and at a variety of other events to build on the USOPC’s vision of advancing women within the Olympic and Paralympic movements.
