U.S. Paralympics is pleased to announce a new Development Camp
opportunity for Para-cyclists in the C1-5 and Tandem categories, at the
Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, CO, September 28 - October
This new camp is designed to identify and cultivate talent specifically
in the area of Para-cycling on the track.
The camp will pair experienced cyclists with and without disabilities,
with new Para-cyclists. Athletes will learn valuable skills and
training techniques from Team USA coaches, and will stay at the Olympic
Training Center in Colorado Springs during the camp.
The majority of costs for athletes selected to attend the camp will be
covered by U.S. Paralympics. Accommodations and meals will be covered
by the Olympic Training Center, and athletes who attend will be
reimbursed up to $250 for airfare.
Athletes selectd to participate should have some level of experience on
the track, and own -- or have access to -- a track bike. It is not
required that applicants have experience competing on the track,
although participants should be familiar with track racing,
specifically Para-cycling track racing.
