Adam Coon (Fowlerville, Mich./University of Michigan) has been named Wrestler of the Week.

Each week, will select an Athlete of the Week, based upon performance within wrestling for that week. The selection committee will consider any level of wrestling, from youth programs through the Senior level.

Coon, a true freshman for the Michigan Wolverines, captured the heavyweight title at the Cliff Keen Invitational this past weekend in Las Vegas.

Coon, the No. 8 seed, came from behind to edge No. 2 seed J.T. Felix of Boise State in sudden victory overtime, 7-5.

In July, Coon became the first wrestler to win back-to-back USA Wrestling Triple Crowns in the Junior division.

Coon is a past FILA Cadet World champion for the U.S.
