After Successful Aurora Cup, Chicago Poised to Host More 4-Star Tournaments
All 250+ players, families and spectators departed the Vaughan Athletic Center in Aurora, Illinois on Sunday with a positive experience of the tournament. Few if any matches experienced delays, and warm-up tables were abundant throughout the tournament. Due to the high volume of people in the building, the tournament even had a good number of walk-in spectators.
The venue for the tournament exceeded expectations, as all 38 new Butterfly tables were beautifully separated with Butterfly barriers, and the floor provided extremely good grip for players of all levels. Tournament director Swavek Lorenc also worked tirelessly to provide perfect lighting on all courts as the players competed in the 22 different events.
As the tournament drew to a close, tournament director Swavek Lorenc expressed relief, exhaustion but mostly gratitude and excitement after the completion of the 2014 Aurora Cup Tournament. He is looking forward to hosting additional 4-star and large scale tournaments in the future to bring high level players from around the country to the Chicago area.
Swavek would like to thank Butterfly, Infogix and the Aurora Park District for their sponsorship, support, and help throughout the process.
