Coach Wanted- Synchro-Maids

July 28, 2014, 10:50 a.m. (ET)
The YWCA Central Massachusetts seeks a Head Coach and Program Coordinator for the
Synchro-maids Synchronized Swim Team. This is a Full-Time position, with benefits.
The Synchro-maids have been a YWCA program for almost 50 years, and the team is
now ready to achieve higher levels of success!

Currently, the team consists of about 20 Age Group athletes, along with smaller groups of
Intermediate and Novice swimmers. The new Coordinator will oversee the entire
program, including supervision of part-time coaches and volunteers, scheduling, outreach
and recruitment, along with administrative duties.

Our goals for the upcoming year are to increase team size, and improve and grow the
instructional feeder program. Initially, the Coordinator’s responsibilities will include
involvement in other aquatics programming, including learn-to-swim and swim teams.

However, the primary focus is on growth and excellence within the Synchro program,
and the successful candidate will be an essential member of the YWCA Team, working
together to ensure high-quality program delivery.

The ideal candidate will have Synchronized Swim Coaching certification, or experience
and willingness to seek certification; certification in Lifeguard Training, Water Safety
Instructor, First Aid and CPR.
