What it means to represent the United States: I am both humbled and honored to have been selected to represent the United States on the softball diamond. Ever since I was a little girl it has been my dream to wear the letters USA across my chest and play for my country. I can think of no bigger honor for as an athlete than this.
What she loves about softball: The thing I love most about softball is pitching. There is no better feeling than when your coach and teammates entrust you with “the rock” and have faith that you’ll give it your all. The sound when the pitch hits the catcher’s mitt perfectly, when the ump has a wind up on strike three, the sight of the batter chasing your pitch, and most off all knowing that teammates have your back no matter what, is what I love about softball.
Why she chose to attend Florida: On October 20, 2014, late in my senior year, I committed to the University of Florida after careful consideration of several other universities. I chose to be a Gator, because I feel that UF is the place where I will be able to achieve my goals and aspirations with the help of an amazing coaching staff, talented and fun teammates, and a great education.
