Team USA Hockey Sucess for all teams

TEAM USA COMES HOME FROM THE 2014 FIRS WORLD INLINE HOCKEY CHAMPIONSHIPS

WITH SUCCESS FOR ALL TEAMS!

Congratulations to the Senior Men and the Senior Women's USA Teams on their Gold Medal wins at the FIRS World Inline Hockey in Toulouse France, which took place from June 30 to July 13, 2014

To win the Gold, the USA Defending Senior Women Team beat Canada 3-2.  Members of that team were Mariah Blackmore, Kayla Demint, Jessica Dunne, Jincy Dune, Allison Era, Joy Woog-Garvey, Lisa Giovanelli, Danielle Groen, Melanie Moore, Courtney Orner, Elisa Pogu, Catherine Santo, Chelsi Wells, Ariane Yokoyama, and Goalies Mariah Blackmore and Danielle Groen.  The team was coached by Chalie Sgrillo and Assistant Coach David Marmorstein.




The USA Men's Team took the Gold from the Czech Republic in the final game 5-0.  Members of that team were Junior Cadiz, Stephen Campbell, Andrew Cripps, Brian Ganz, Skyler Hoar, Corey Hodge, Taylor Kane, PJ Kavaya, Joseph Mazzie, Jonathan Mosenson, Darren Nowick, Ian Rezac and Goalies Blake Ducker and Troy Redmann, coached by Ken Murchison and Assistant Coach Chuck Thuss.







The USA Junior Women’s team won the Silver Medal in the final game against Spain 4-2 and experienced for the first time international competition in a foreign country.  Last year at the 2013 World Championships in Huntington Beach California, the Junior Women won the Gold Medal in the event which was the first time that a Junior Women's competition was sanctioned for the World Championships.  Members of the 2014 team were Mackie Albertson, Brooke Bryant, Megan Devore, Jessica Dunne, Daniella Dror, Mackenzie Fink, Christina Kao, Zoe Klein, Katelyn Mauger, Sarah Sinning and Goalies Katie Miller and Frankie Sanchez. The team was supported by Jeff Manning Coach, and Kathy Fink-Manager.


The USA Junior Men although not medaling this year lost in the medal round in a close 3-2 game.  Members of the team are Michael Curtis, Joey Dolce, Jacob Gibbons, Paul Hermle, Tyler Hoffman, Brycon Johnson, DJ Lamartina, Anthony Lerette, Alex Macdonald, Austin Resseguie, Tanner Tuohy, Jonathan Waring, and goalies David Farley and Mark Hager.  The team was coached by Jamie Cooke.

Special recognition is also due to Gerry Lullove, Overall Team Manager.  Gerry worked hard on behalf of all teams to communicate and coordinate team logistics and a wide variety of other aspects of participation that elevated the experience for all.  USA Roller Sports is proud of everyone who participated and the high quality of athletes that are obviously involved with inline hockey in the United States.
