Pentathlon Athletes Ready For US Nationals

Athletes from over 20 states are expected to compete this weekend at the US Olympic Training Center in Senior and Junior divisions. The Nationals is the final selection competition for the US World Team which will represent the USA the World Championships in Warsaw, Poland in September. The competition is fierce for the final spots on Team USA – as the final places for Team USA are too close to call.
The leading contenders in the women’s division, Margaux Isaksen (Fayetteville Arkansas) leads the field following success in Sarasota and Moscow. She is joined by teammates Samantha Achterberg (Denver, Colorado) and Isabella Isaksen (Fayetteville, Arkansas). Main contender Grace Kittle was forced to withdraw following a riding accident this month.
The leaders in the men’s division men will see Army athletes Logan Storie (Portland, Oregon), Dennis Bowsher (Dallas, Texas) and Nathan Schrimsher (Roswell, New Mexico) challenged by Harry Greene (Stowe, Vermont), Brendan Anderson (Colorado Springs, Colorado) and Lucas Schrimsher (Roswell, New Mexico) fighting for the coveted four places on the US Team.
