To Grassi, an athlete doesn’t just play a sport with a jersey and shin guards but rather with one’s entire being. Introduced to field hockey by his elementary physical education teacher, Grassi joined a school team that competed in the Cal Cup U-12 Mixed Division every year. The rest was history. He has since competed in events such events as Pan American Championships and International Easter Tournament in Valkenswaard, Holland where he continues to give everything he has. Grassi is also a Division III soccer player at Franklin and Marshall College.
