Originally a swimmer like the rest of her family, Widdall was attracted to another sports path after seeing all of her friends playing field hockey in middle school. From then on, she has proudly rocked goalie pads. As a University of Massachusetts Minutewoman, she was named as an NFHCA All-American for two years and the Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the year in 2011. Widdall began her journey to the Women’s National Squad in 2006 when she was first named to the U.S. U21 National Team.
