Coached by her father, Bob Hurley, Courtney qualified for her first U.S. team as a 14-year-old on the 2005 Junior and Cadet World Team and has been a member of every Senior World Championship Team since 2006. Ranked as high as 18th

in the world during her young career, Courtney qualified for the 2012 Olympic Team alongside her older sister, Kelley Hurley, who represented Team USA at the 2008 Games and will be a replacement athlete in London. The two have competed on six Senior and five Junior World Teams together – including the 2008 Junior Worlds where the Hurley sisters led the United States to gold in the team event.
