Did your club take full advantage of its Membership in the U.S. Curling Association during the 2016-17 season?   • Annual Members’ Assembly and USA Curling Members’ Cup. In addition to updates about the organization, educational seminars were featured throughout the weekend. Keep an eye out for more information on the 2017 Members’ Assembly, which will be held in Minnesota this Fall.  
  • Inaugural U18 Men’s and Women’s National Championships with educational opportunities for coaches. This is only one of ten annual national championships geared toward curlers of all ages and various levels of experience offered by the national organization.

     

  • New KidsCurl ProgramTen clubs were selected to participate in this on-ice program geared toward youth ages 5-9. Each club was provided with an equipment package sized for kids along with program materials.

     

  • Business of Curling Symposium (back by popular demand!)The Symposium, which features sessions on recruiting, retention, volunteerism, and more, was launched two years ago on the West Coast. In 2017, sessions will be held on the East Coast and in the Midwest. 

     

  • Several dozen Sport Education classes. Courses focused on instruction, officiating, ice making, and coaching are taught each season. Want to see more in your area? Call the USA Curling National Office and make a request.

     

  • Curling Night in America television program. With over 1.7 million viewers for the original broadcast, curlers and fans will be able to catch re-runs of the competition this spring/summer.

     

  • High quality web-streamed broadcasts. While the Men’s and Women’s Nationals web stream had more than 98,000 views, curlers on the West Coast had the best seats in the house at the XFINITY Arena in Everett!

     

  • Live scoring for all national events through CurlingZone.com. As a result of USA Curling’s  annual contract with this popular website, scores for all national events are posted immediately to ensure that fans across the nation can keep up with their favorite teams.

     

  • Up-to-the-minute coverage of the latest news in the sport through USA Curling’s social media platforms. With more than 40,000 followers, the various platforms highlight everything from national events to human interest stories.

     

  • Four print and two bonus online-only editions of the U.S. Curling News. Bonspiel Results” remain the most popular feature of this longstanding publication. Make sure your club submits photos and standings for every bonspiel!

     

  • New USA Curling Club Calendar designed to celebrate Member Clubs! Want to feature your club or team in the national curling calendar? Submit photos to the USA Curling national office before the end of May each year for consideration.

     

  • Free brochures, posters, and in-ice logos available on-demand. Need information to hand out at a recruiting or training session? Just click on the USA Curling Member Materials form to make a request any time of year.
