In her own words: I like the fact that curling can be played at all levels of competitiveness. THe more competitive -- the more I like it. I also like the fact that it can be very sociable and helps me meet many new people. This social aspect of curling makes the sport unique. Unlike most sports, where you run off the field and never talk to your competition, in curling you become friends. 

Who introduced you to curling: My dad -- he has been a great coach 

Other sports: Soccer, tennis, basketball, softball 

Career highlight: Winning the playdowns for the Youth Olympics 

Best advice she's received: Practice is an investment for the future 

Favorite bands/music: Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kid Cudi, Taylor Swift, Lupe Fiasco, The Beatles 

Who was most influential in your curling development?: My dad. He does everything he can to be the great coach he is and puts so much work into everything he does.
